My name is Tisha
Where it all started
As a child, I would see the glow and broad smiles of my mum’s dressmaking clients as they swished and glided around the room. They would tell me how extraordinary she was, and I remember thinking that I wanted to be just like her. That was when the seed of aspiration began to grow.
I began working in her alteration shop at the age of 14, listening and learning the tips and tricks of the trade from the lovely ladies around me. The atmosphere was lively with jokes and laughter being tossed around and we’d also discuss in detail, alterations and pitched solutions until we’d find the perfect one. It was fun and its also where I found my desire for the hunt of the best techniques.
By the age of 21, I had realised that I loved all things bridal and formal. I loved meeting brides, hearing their stories, building that special bond, and feeling the incredible buzz when they cried tears of joy upon seeing themselves in the mirror, knowing I had done my job just right.
From here I started working various bridal boutiques, learning the industry, the wants and needs of brides of all sizes, religious requirements, how to dress into the dress correctly, the do’s and don’ts and all the specific finer details. I was in my element and there was no going back.
Fifteen years later, I’m still loving every moment! Applying my knowledge and techniques so I can contour each dress to create the perfect fit, ensuring every bride feels both comfortable and beautiful.
